We are Good Food Award Finalists!

Southold, NY (November 5, 2019) – Blossom Meadow Farm’s Strawberry Jam and Red Raspberry Jam were named as 2020 Good Food Finalists by the Good Food Foundation and are now in the running for a 2020 Good Food Award (full press release). With over 2,000 entries each year, the competition is fierce for a Good Food Award. Of the hundreds of entries submitted in the preserves category, Blossom Meadow Farm is one of only three finalists located in the northeast and one of sixteen preserves finalists nationwide. All entries are judged in a blind tasting and vetted to confirm they meet Good Food Awards standards regarding ingredient sourcing and environmentally sound agricultural practices. Also representing the best in the nation, the South Fork-based apiary Bees’ Needs’ is a finalist in the honey category for their Black Locust and Blackberry Honey. All winners will be announced on Friday January 17, 2020 at a 1,000 person gala in the historic San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center. Renowned author, journalist and professor Michael Pollan will delivering the keynote speech at the event.
